The love you send me.

Come to me my love
In the night when no one's there.
In the darkness of my room
Come to me, fill my body
With the light that fires my soul.

Love,
please accept me as I am
So this long search may end
And I may finally find peace
in the stillness of my being,
That tingles
with the love you send me.

A fairy dances

I look out
through drizzling rain
across the northern plains.
An elm buds anew,
as stag ferns glisten
to your voice I listen.

Soft words fall
down gentle plateaux
through the foothills below.
Drifting across plains,
my ears are wide open
that feeling comes not often.

The voice speaks,
assured you speak true
ev'n if I still feel blue.
I move to stand up
'n' walk towards you there
in the direction that I stare.

Wait for you?
This madness scares me,
makes me my thoughts to flee
to you, on your plateau
children run around,
feet planted on the ground.

Anna, come
while I dream dreams
of you, so that it seems
that I feel you touch
me, touching you too
kissing me, and kissing you.

Smiling eyes,
hair wavy 'n' wild
jumpin' 'round like a child,
loved and freely lovin'
I kiss but you're not there,
run my fingers through your hair.

Drizzle falls
on shinin' green leaves,
my breast softens and heaves.
A fairy dancing,
white lillies to my right,
I wish you were here with me
                          to see this magic sight.

the barrier between us

A word
nervously uttered,
we talk
of nothing
for hours on end,
bringing us closer,
breaking down
the gulf between us.

I sit,
my phone shouldered,
you there
and each sigh
I feel breath life.
my soul desires
to break down
the distance between us.

We talk
until silent gaps
sound out
nothing,
I feel so close,
you say that's nice,
breaking down
the abyss between us.

You say
'Yes' means agreed,
I listen
hear you
sigh, I sigh.
You say that reason
is behind
the barrier between us.

Senses

Touch
each hair,
beholds sight,
a kiss,
a body caressed
closer.

Smell
tastes sweet,
honeyed lips,
a touch,
come closer
and kiss.

Feel
washed hands,
soothing skin,
taste hair,
see you there
naked.

See
coffee beans,
sun's aroma
moves snow,
warm heart
beating.

Taste
dancing fairies,
love's song
sings sweetly,
moves the still
petal.

Searching

Laughter abounds
where love roams free,
thrown off the yoke,
brought to your knees.

Your hair flows freely
the winds of your heart,
milk from your breasts,
children feed your art.

Tenderly

Softly
you said,
I see you behind
your computer,
my heart
longs for love.

Quietly
I replied,
I also want love
to blossom here,
my heart
sighs for you.

Gently
my hand,
goes out to touch
you wavy hair,
not there,
nothing there.

Tenderly
you sang,
I paint bodies
my body does,
my heart
longs of love,
              sighs to you,
                           nothing there...

Anna

On a cold wint'ry night
You came close to me
And warmed my heart
With talk of love, art
And nothing in particular.

I searched your photos
For a glimpse of you,
Smiling and hiding
Behind faces pulled to
Conceal yourself from me.

Your warm smile, and
Pensive, mournful eyes,
Thoughtful and musing,
Denying your beauty
While your children sleep.

Your mouth shows the hurt
Of paradise lost,
Repairing hearts betrayed
Paint trees bearing fruit,
Giving form to chance.

Nothing exists in
The gaps between words,
Except everything
Unsaid which sighs
Then remains silent.

I wanted to kiss you
Right there and then,
Caress the soft skin
without contact so
gentle, impossible.

Winter brings light,
strength and courage
float in on a breeze,
branches bared start
to bud again in spring.

New growth is ordered,
While chaos surrounds
Winds blowing willy nilly,
A bud gives way to
Life anew, warmth abounds.

I think of you as
I look at your face,
Trying to understand
Your idea of fun,
What makes you tick?

You mix your colours
On an old used palette,
Place them with intent,
Giving form to that
Which never can be.

Anna, I like you
Is love too strong a word?
How long will the gaps
And inflections point
To the sighs and pauses
                                Beyond what is said...
